Installation Instructions

1a. If you are locating the LifeAid Console where you presently have a telephone.

  1. Unplug your telephone from its wall jack.
  2. The ORANGE tagged end of the gray Telephone Cord should already be plugged into the LINE JACK on the bottom of your LifeAid Console.
  3. Plug the YELLOW tagged end of the gray Telephone Cord into the telephone wall jack.
  4. Plug the telephone into the PHONE JACK on the bottom of your LifeAid Console.

1b. If you are locating the LifeAid Console where you DO NOT presently have a telephone.

  1. The ORANGE tagged end of the gray Telephone Cord should already be plugged into the LINE JACK on the bottom of your LifeAid Console.
  2. Plug the YELLOW tagged end of the gray Telephone Cord into the telephone wall jack.

2. Plug Power Supply into an electrical outlet that is always on, 24 hours a day.

DO NOT plug into an outlet that is controlled by a switch or timer. If your outlet has a center screw, as shown in the diagram, secure the Power Supply with the Screw provided. If you have an outlet without a center screw discard the Screw.

3. Turn the LifeAid Console over and turn the power switch ON.

NOTICE: DISREGARD ANY ANNOUNCE­MENTS HEARD WHEN TURNING THE LIFEAID CONSOLE ON.

WARNING: WHEN TURNING THE LIFEAID CONSOLE OVER, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT ACCIDENTALLY PRESS THE EMERGENCY BUTTON. (IF YOU DO, PRESS THE CLEAR BUTTON ON THE FRONT OF THE LIFEAID CONSOLE TO CANCEL THE EMERGENCY SIGNAL.)

4. Call LifeAid toll free at 800-998-2400 to activate your system.

Tell the Care Specialist your LifeAid Console Number which you will find underneath the console.
Press either the Help Button or the EMERGENCY button on the LifeAid Console and a loud voice will say “Emergency” – also a loud warning tone will continually sound until you are automatically connected to LifeAid.

Say, “I am testing my system.”

If you do not get a response, review steps 1, 2 and 3 or call LifeAid at 800-998-2400 for assistance.
